Privacy, Cookies & GDPR How we use your contact information

Due to the new General Data Protection Regulation Law (GDPR) coming into effect in May 2018, we have changed the way we ask for your information.

This website contains several forms and checkout pages which gather your contact information. This is used for a variety of different purposes:

1) For payment and delivery of items purchased in the online shop.
2) For subscribing to our occasional newsletters.
3) For entering Powerboat P1 events as a racer.
4) For responding to queries via our contact forms.
5) For registering and paying for P1 Membership

When selling products on the Internet, this web site gathers/stores the minimum information from the customer which is required for a credit card transaction. This information is only ever used for your purchase and is stored on our UK servers. It is not passed on to other parties. Apart from the newsletter sign up, all forms have a slider allowing you to also opt-in to our email newsletter which will allow us to send you occasional emails with news on upcoming race events and the occasional competition or special offer. You will not be contacted by us if you chose to opt-out or unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the link at the bottom of the newsletter.

Racers Please Read

Please note: when registering as a racer you automatically consent for P1 to contact you via email, text and phone call and to send you regular race and safety information for the event, championship or series.

When you enter a Powerboat P1 competition you are consenting to allow your appearance, image, race data and race statistics to be shared across the P1 media platform, which forms an integral part of the historical record of the event, championship and series and cannot be removed when consented to.

However, if the racers wish to receive marketing emails then he/she can also opt-in to these setting the slider at the bottom of the form to yes.

If you wish to have your information permanently deleted, other than racer information, from our database, please email here.

Your privacy is important to P1, we do not pass your information on to third parties.

Use of Cookies

This website uses 'temporary cookies' so that the site remembers what other items are in your "shopping basket". In this situation, a cookie is a small data file containing a single number (and no personal information) this cookie is never re-used. When you close your browser (Internet Explorer/Firefox/Safari etc), the cookie is destroyed.

If you are a member/racer and tick the "Remember Me" box on the login page. A permanent cookie is used to remember your login details to give you quicker access next time. These can be removed in your browser should you wish. It contains no information about you, it is simply a key to access the members' area of the website.

We also use Google Analytics on our websites to count traffic visiting the site. This cookie does not know or record any of your personal information, it merely records which pages are visited.

Hosting

All P1 websites are designed, built and hosted by Omniweb Ltd. Omniweb has its own private cloud which is located in a UK Data centre. Omniweb is a Registered Data Keeper with the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office).
