Day 1 Report - Les Lacs de l'Eau d'Heure in Belgium

Belgium star Quinten Bossche cruises to victory on the opening day of the Jetcross Pro Tour

Saturday 23rd June - Belgium’s Quinten Bossche led from start-to-finish to take victory in Moto 1 in opening race of the P1 Jetcross Pro tour yesterday in Lac I’heure, Belgium.
The pole-sitter Valentin Dardillat, riding the new Kommander GP1 hull, powered his Rotax 1600cc naturally aspirated 4-stroke engine to a solid second place behind Bossche. While Bullett Racing and Experience Kissimmee factory rider Jeremy Poret rounded out the top 3 after passing his teammate Alec Enderli. Although, Alec Enderli could take some solace by winning Pro-Am Ski JX2 in emphatic style despite making an error on the log jump.

In the Veteran ski class Frenchman Bruno De Vechhi, who was making a comeback to racing, showed he’d lost none of his talent to take moto 1 win.

The Amateur Ski JX3 class boasted the biggest line up of the weekend with 42 entries having to qualify for the main event. When band snapped it was rookie racer Wilfried Gurnot from France who was quick to take the lead and despite pressure from the trailing pack he kept his cool to take the first win of the weekend. Belgium racers Andrea Schena and Ghislain Russel took second and third respectively.
In amongst the men and also racing for separate points, the women’s class was won by France’s Jennifer Menard who also finished 4th overall against the men. Lou Dardillat came home in second with Flora Moron in third..

German racer, Philip Salobir was unstoppable in the Pro-Am Sport JX4 qualifying race putting himself on pole for moto 1. He repeated that same dominance in Moto 1 to take the win ahead of Yamaha EX riders Baptiste Czimer and Quentin Guilbert.

Mathéo Pichon from France won moto 1 of Junior Ski followed by Baptiste Calmels and Anaïs Mischler.
