Next stop Le Bouveret Lake of Geneva

The countdown is underway to the fourth round of the P1 Jetcross race series which will see riders head to Switzerland next weekend (18-19 August).

Hosting the two-day event on Lake Geneva, presented by Experience Kissimmee, will be the charming Valaisan village of Le Bouveret near the French border.

The 2018 series comprises five rounds in three different countries, featuring new venues in the south of France, Belgium and Switzerland. Julien Bastien, European Head of P1 Jetcross, is excited about the prospect of racing on the lake: “Le Bouveret is a haven for water sports and a host of lakeside events but, more than anything else, it really knows how to welcome visitors. This is a peak time for tourists and we are expecting thousands of spectators to make it a memorable event at a very special venue.”

“On behalf of the Town Council, it will give me great pleasure to welcome the Jetcross riders, officials and spectators for a weekend of sport and entertainment for everyone to enjoy" Pierre Zoppelletto, President of Port Valais

The Mayor of Port Valais, Pierre Zoppelletto is looking forward to the racing: “On behalf of the Town Council, it will give me great pleasure to welcome the Jetcross riders, officials and spectators for a weekend of sport and entertainment for everyone to enjoy. My thanks go to the Organising Committee, volunteers all those involved in planning and staging this international event.”

This year’s Pro Tour has been extremely competitive, producing a different winner at each round. Despite only finishing fourth in the last round, Jeremy Poret is still leading the field but reigning champion Valentin Dardillat’s victory in Vichy has narrowed the gap to 24 points, with Morgan Poret and Steven Loiodice still in contention for the title. After two consecutive podiums in Pro Ski and racing on home waters, 18-year-old Alec Enderli will be looking to continue his successful run.
