Countdown underway to P1 Jetcross championship showdown at So'Fun Village

So’Fun Village near Paris is set to welcome more than one hundred of Europe’s top jet ski riders next weekend (15-16 September) when it hosts the final round of this season’s P1 Jetcross race series.

“...in addition to offering a beautiful venue with excellent facilities, we will deliver a great show on land, sky and water...” Michel Le Haziff, Local organizer and So'fun Village owner

Featuring both Pro and Amateur jet ski racing, the 2018 series comprises five rounds in three different countries with new venues added this year in the south of France, Belgium and Switzerland. The Jetcross stand-up series has reinforced P1’s growing presence in Europe after joining its family of marine racing brands two years ago.

Located just 80km from Paris, So’Fun Village is a superb jet ski racing facility situated in a stunning woodland landscape. Julien Bastien, European Head of P1 Jetcross, is excited about the prospect of returning to So’Fun Village for the third time: “The mix of a world-class venue and world-class riders from eight different countries has all the right ingredients for a memorable finale to the series. It has been an enthralling season with a variety of race winners on different models of Ski, which is proof of the quality of our technical rules and racing format, and racing taking place on the sea, a river and a lake.”

Michel Le Haziff, the owner of So’Fun Village, is passionate about delivering outstanding sporting entertainment: “In addition to offering a beautiful venue with excellent facilities, we will deliver a great show on the water for the climax to the P1 Jetcross season and create a fun environment for the riders, their friends and families, and spectators. The race action will be fast and furious, and the fireworks on Saturday night will be spectacular.”

Looking at the battle for the Pro Tour title, Julien Bastien said: “After the last round on Lake Geneva, Jeremy Poret has established a healthy lead at the top of the championship standings but we have seen him make mistakes in both Vichy and Le Bouveret so it’s too early to inscribe his name on the trophy. The other Poret brothers, Mickael and Morgan, are still very much in the picture after consistent performances on their Bullett V3 machines and it will be a family battle to decide who will take over from reigning champion Valentin Dardillat.”

The racing at So’Fun Village will be a two-day, free to watch the event.
