Fantastic opening day at So'Fun Village for the finals of the P1 Jetcross Pro Tour

Loiodice fastest in qualifying, but Poret takes the win on day one

The final round of the P1 Jetcross Pro Tour got underway yesterday at So-Fun Village on the outskirts of Paris, France. The intimate setting created a challenging and technical track for the competitors and close-in race action for the spectators.

Steven Loiodice set a blistering pace in JX1 qualifying, beating the Belgian Quentin Bossche by almost a second and securing his first qualifying win of the Jetcross season. Jeremy Poret finished third with brother Morgan fourth, and the Alec Enderli in fifth.

As the racers prepared for the first JX1 moto of the weekend officials deemed Quentin Bossche’s Kommander GP1 was over-weight for the class rules and disqualified from competing. Unable to reduce the excess weight within the allotted time Bossche was forced to sit and watch his nemesis Jeremy Poret take the lead and the eventual win over his brother Michael Poret and reigning champion Valentin Dardillat in moto 1.

Alec Enderli was also forced to sit out of moto 1 with mechanical problems, although it wasn’t all bad news for the Swiss rider as he managed to secure the title in the JX2 class with two motos to run.

The final two motos of the Jetcross Pro Tour kick off today at 14.30 GMT + 1
